It's Fall which Means.....

It's Pumpkin Time!!

We are opening this Saturday, September 27th! 

Doors open at 10:00am

Our opening day will feature a "First 50" event, meaning that the first 50 people to come will get a Nevada Proud pin, commemorating Nevada's 150th birthday.

We will also have a Thanksgiving Turkey Raffle, where you can buy raffle tickets for only $1 each and put them into a raffle to win one of our fresh farm raised turkeys for your Thanksgiving Dinner!

We will also feature:

 free face painting from 10:00am - 3:00pm

free puppet shows at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30pm

free craft and storytime at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 2:00pm

Kona Ice is our Saturday vendor selling delicious Hawaiian Shave Ice!

If you didn't know, we sell pumpkin patch SEASON FAMILY PASSES for $65! Good for a family of up to 6 people to come for unlimited barnyard activities, hayrides, fun track, Kids Corn Maze, Barrel Train, and visiting the animals. Good during the 2014 season which is Sept 27th - November 1st.

Does NOT include large corn maze or Pony rides.

We also have two charitable projects going on! The first is the

 Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation.

We planted "Porcelain Doll" pumpkins, as pictured above and they are beautiful! $2 of every pink pumpkin sold will be donated to the foundation for breast cancer research.

The second is "Pumpkins For Autism"  - a weekend of giving to children with Autism and their families. We will be holding a private event for Families with children who have autism. The following weekend we will be raising money for the Autism Coalition of Nevada by giving a percentage of Pumpkin Sales from Friday October 3rd and Saturday October 4th. We will also have a large pumpkin raffle where all money raised from the raffle is donated to ACON.

What have we been doing?

Thought we would update the blog with some news from the farm. For you facebook users see our Facebook Page Here. For you instagramers follow us Here It's been a busy summer!

 We are wrapping up our last week of Farm Camp tomorrow. At farm camp kids get to work with the animals, weed, harvest, scoop manure, ride horses, do crafts and and play games! How fun is that. We love the last day when parents are invited and receive a vip guided tour from their kids of the farm and animals. Plus a hay ride, of course, although the camp kids don't get to to drive the hay ride...

Up to our ears in corn! This year our corn maze theme is Nevada Proud to celebrate Nevada's 150 year birthday. We have teamed with the awesome guys at Maze Play for the design of our maze. We are super excited that we also have some great maze games from Maze Play called Farm Scene Investigation and Farm Tracks! These interactive games are very engaging for kids and adults.

 As usual we are planting lots of varieties of pumpkins and have doubled our crop size. (Which means double the weeding!) Our goal is to have a great selection of pumpkins for you whether you come at the beginning or end of October. Come out and find your perfect pumpkin from our pumpkin patch.
 

 We are working on some additional barn yard activities and games, to be announced later (we don't want to jinx it). We are getting close to opening day September 27!

Summer Farm Camp!

We are introducing our second season of farm camp this summer! It's going to be a week of fun! Your kids will come home with crafts, fresh garden veggies, knowledge and experience with animals, and great memories.
Below are the weeks farm camp will be offered:

June 16th - 20th 9am - 1:00pm (the week after school is out)

July 21st - 25th 9am - 1:00pm

Both of those sessions are for kids ages 6-12 and are half day programs.

 The cost is $135 for the week. (there is a $10 discount for additional sibling)

Each session of camp is limited to 20 kids (two groups of 10, and there are two counselors per group of 10).

 We will provide a healthy snack and plenty of water every day. You will need to send a sack lunch with your child.

 We will have a parent/child farm tour experience on the last day (Friday) of camp from 12 noon until 1:00pm where the kids will show parents around and teach what they have learned!

Due to the weather the corn maze is closed tonight.

Corn Maze Hours Update - Final Week

Due to popular demand the Corn Maze will be open Tuesday October 29th from 6pm to 9pm, Wednesday October 30th from 6pm to 9pm and Thursday October 31st (Halloween) from 10am to 7pm.  On Thursday night the maze re-opens from 8pm to 10pm and it is HAUNTED!  Please note that on Thursday October 31st between 7pm and 8pm the maze is closed while we setup for the Corn Creepers Haunt.  Admission is $5 per person.
October 31st is our last day of business and then we are closed for the season.
